The Alamarin-Jet patented Combi-Frame technology allows designers, builders and owners maximum flexibility when locating the position of the propulsion system within the vessel.
Choosing between 2 different hull installation inserts allows the jet to be installed either in LONG TAIL or SHORT TAIL configuration
Long Tail Installation – The inspection hatch of the jet is located outside of the transom, this creates more space inside the engine room allowing multiple benefits such as locating the engine further aft to increase deck space or to make conversion from sterndrive to water jet.
Short Tail Installation – The inspection hatch of the jet is located inside of the transom, this reduces the overall length of the vessel and means less machinery is exposed to potential damage from external factors. It also allows access to the jet inspection hatch inboard which may be easier and safer in certain situations.
